NORTHEAST and NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION IDIQ MULTI-DISCIPLINARY AE DESIGN SERVICES
Background
The National Park Service (NPS), part of the United States Department of the Interior, is seeking to determine the availability and capability of potential small business sources for multi-disciplinary architect-engineer design services. This initiative aims to support a variety of projects within areas of national significance throughout the Northeast and National Capital Region, which includes states such as Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington D.C.

The NPS intends to use the information gathered from this Sources Sought Notice to develop an acquisition strategy for a competitive acquisition that will yield Multiple Award IDIQ contracts.

Work Details
The contract will encompass multi-disciplinary architect-engineer design services for various projects including but not limited to:

- Research, evaluation, analysis
- Strategic planning
- Inventory and monitoring
- Compliance and permitting (environmental, construction-related)
- Drainage and stormwater management systems
- Geotechnical evaluations
- Condition assessments
- Structural evaluations
- Interpretive exhibits
- Stabilization and rehabilitation of historic structures
- Accessibility upgrades
- Site planning
- Trail planning
- Interior design
- Design support during construction
- Design for historic/modern structures
- Museums and curatorial facilities
- Revetment/seawalls and shoring
- Security improvements
- Demolition
- Visitor centers and administrative facilities
- Maintenance facilities
- Electrical systems (high/low voltage)
- Fire protection systems
- Mechanical systems
- Seismic retrofits
- Renewable energy systems
- Surveying (boundary/hydrographic/land)
- Total building commissioning
- Traffic and transportation systems/facilities
- Water/wastewater systems
- Housing projects (multi/single-family)
- Comfort stations/campgrounds/roads/parking/bridges/multi-use trails/marine facilities/memorials.
Required disciplines include registered architects, engineers (civil, mechanical), landscape architects, and specialists in various fields such as hazardous materials abatement and sustainable technologies. Additional incidental services may include AutoCAD drafting and 3D modeling.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a five-year ordering period with task orders issued as needed.

Place of Performance
The primary coverage area includes the Northeast and National Capital Region of the United States. Secondary coverage may extend nationwide.
