This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and manufacturing of the Vertical Windshield Wiper drag reduction devices for permanent modification to the United States Air Force C/KC-135 Stratotanker weapon system. Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey.

Background
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) contracted Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) and Collins Aerospace (CA) to develop an Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Vertical Wiper Arm prototype for testing and subsequent procurement. However, the government did not obtain the re-procurable unlimited technical data package rights from SwRI or CA for the Group A production kit. Therefore, the listed technical information is being used to modify the C/KC-135 fleet with the Vertical Wiper Arm modification.

Work Details
The Contractor is required to procure, validate, and verify the Vertical Wiper Arm Group A production kits. The work includes manufacturing, fabrication, testing, packaging, and delivery of Vertical Wiper Arm Group A production kits for the C/KC-135 USAF aircraft. The kits must be made of two parts: mounting arm and attached cantilevered arm. The Contractor shall conduct a kick-off meeting No Later Than (NLT) 30 days after contract award and provide draft Presentation Materials (CDRL A005) prior to the kick-off meeting. The Contractor shall designate a single point of contact (POC) for all tasks required for the program.
