C-81 F404 Fuel Flow Transmitter Retrofit Kit buy   2

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Contracts Department, Patuxent River, MD in support of NAVAIR 4.4, Propulsion and Power, awarded an order under Basic Ordering Agreement FA8122-19-G-0001 on a sole source basis with General Electric (GE) Aviation, 1000 Western Ave, Lynn, MA 01902 to procure a F404 Fuel Flow Transmitter Retrofit Kit. This kit, referred to as the C-81 Kit (kit part number 1953T24G01) consists of a Modified Fuel Flow Transmitter Housing to improve component life and reduce housing failures.

This kit includes the following parts:

Housing Coil Assembly, qty. 1 (part number 4324A27G700),

Packing, qty. 2 (part number 5500W10P085),

Packing, qty. 1 (part number 5500W18P001),

Gasket, qty. 1 (part number 3830W72P001),

Connector, qty. 1 (part number 2620W62G700),

Screw, qty. 4 (part number N55P9004),

Washer/lock, qty. 4 (part number N406P5) and

Washer, qty. 4 (part number N400P5)

These kits have previously been developed, tested, and qualified for modification for the F404 engine under the Component Improvement Program through extensive research, development, and approval through the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process with NAVAIR and GE. This action was pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10, U.S.C. 2304 (c)(2) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement was for a quantity of 401 C-81 kits.
