The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Bulk of Salt Supply for the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC), located in Terre Haute, Indiana. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 212393 Other Chemical and Fertilizer Mineral Mining (Size Standard: 500 Employees). This solicitation is being set-aside 100% total small business. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.

The Government contemplates awarding an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from this solicitation. The contract period shall consist of one year base period and two-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the Government.

All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the industry and in compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations. The solicitation will be made available on or about Monday, March 16, 2020, and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www. Beta.Sam.gov . Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.

The Contractor shall provide Bulk of Salt Supply to be used in the water treatment system at FCC Terre Haute. Product shall be 99% pure Sodium Chloride potable conditioning grade salt. The Contractor shall provide approximately 64 deliveries a year, totaling 1600 tons a year. A delivery will be via a pneumatic truck and will contain a 25 ton load. Deliveries will be made to the Powerhouse or the Central Utility Plant. Salt will be stored in a fiberglass silo. All deliveries will be scheduled between the hours of 7:30am and 3:30pm, Monday through Friday as mutually agreed upon between the Facilities Manager and Contractor. The Contractor will not be expected to provide supplies on Federal Holidays.

The closing date to receive the quotes is on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Central Time. Quotes must be submitted via email to vmills@bop.gov. Fax or hard copies aren't acceptable.
