Description

The 42nd Contracting Squadron, 50 LeMay Plaza, Bldg. 804, Maxwell AFB, AL has a requirement to purchase Carpet Renovation services as described in the Statement of Work (SOW) attached. This is a streamlined combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.

Background
The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL, has a requirement for carpet renovation services in Building 693. The mission of the squadron is to procure necessary services to maintain and improve Air Force facilities. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing carpet in Building 693, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, labor, supervision, and materials to complete the following tasks:

- Survey the area for accurate measurements.
- Hire a certified tester if asbestos is suspected.
- Remove existing carpet and prepare floors (patch/repair as needed).
- Recycle existing carpet.
- Install new carpet.
- Remove existing vinyl or rubber base.
- Move furniture as needed for installation.
- Provide and install new 4" rubber base (color chosen by the using agency).
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Coordinate after-hours access requests through the Technical Monitor.
- Label all equipment staged on base with contractor's name and contact information.

The contractor must ensure compliance with state and local ADEM codes and follow all applicable specifications, standards, and guidelines.

Period of Performance
120 days after the Notice to Proceed has been signed.
