Description

This action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business Act.

The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for Building 419 Repair Restrooms and Breakroom-

  1. Demolition
    1. Contractor shall demo existing flooring and sawcut existing slab as indicated on the not for construction drawings.
    2. Contractor shall remove existing doors, frames, and hardware as indicated on the not for construction drawings.
    3. Contractor shall remove existing walls, electrical and comm. as indicated on the not for construction drawings.
    4. Contractor shall remove existing ceiling tiles, grid, light fixtures and HVAC register as indicated on the not for construction drawings.
    5. Contractor shall remove existing countertop and bracing in the existing space.
    6. Contractor shall not address the drain and water connection located on the Northwestern location of the space.
    7. Existing fire strobe to be left in place on the Eastern wall.
    8. Contractor to protect the sprinkler heads and heat detectors in the space during the demolition process. Contractor shall reinstall the detectors in the new suspended ceiling.
  2. Construction
    1. Contractor must provide & install new wastewater drain line and connect to existing sanitary sewer line located on the South exterior of the facility.
    2. Contractor will be required to verify the location of the exterior gas line, that may be in line with sanitary sewer line location.
    3. Contractor must provide & install new concrete infill at Sawcut.
    4. Contractor must provide & install new metal stud walls (3-5/8 ) with sound batt insulation and 5/8 gyp. board. on both sides, tape, texture and paint.
    5. Contractor must provide & install new breakroom casework upper & lower cabinets & hardware.
    6. Contractor must provide & install new solid surface countertops & backsplash.
    7. Contractor must provide & install new breakroom sink & faucet.
    8. Contractor must provide & install new water line and electrical for Government furnished refrigerator.
    9. Contractor must provide & install new bar height solid surface counter & bracing at south & west perimeter wall as shown on the not for construction drawings. Height to be finalized during construction. Include holes & gromets in counter near existing wall power outlets.
    10. Contractor must provide & install new restroom doors, frames, privacy hardware and restroom door signage.
    11. Contractor must provide & install new tile flooring & rubber wall base.
    12. Contractor must provide & install new tile backsplash.
    13. Contractor must provide & install new restroom plumbing fixtures to include toilet and urinal and backing in the wall.
    14. Contractor must provide & install new restroom mirrors and grab bars and backing in the wall.
    15. Contractor must install gov't provided restroom accessories: tissue dispensers, soap dispensers, and towel dispensers and backing in the wall.
    16. Contractor shall install a bottle filler water fountain with backing in the wall to include electrical and water.
    17. Contractor must provide & install new hard lid gyp. Board ceiling in the restrooms.
    18. Contractor must provide & install new acoustic ceiling tile & grid as shown on the not for construction drawings.
    19. Contractor must provide & install new lay-in light fixtures, & wiring. Connect to existing switch
    20. Contractor must provide & install new surface mount light fixtures, wiring & switch with stainless steel cover plate.
    21. Contractor must provide & install new restroom vent fans. Contractor will need to core drill the roof as well as coordinate with the roof warranty contractor prior to the penetration.
    22. Contractor must provide and install new receptacles with stainless steel cover plates in the restroom as shown on the not for construction drawings.
    23. Contractor must provide & install new horn & strobe devices in restrooms.
    24. Contractor must provide & install new HVAC supply & return register. Connect to existing HVAC and perform balancing of the existing system.
    25. Contractor must provide & install new undercounter hot water heater. Refer to the not for construction drawings.
    26. Contractor will need to place the comm wires on the south side of the room in wire mold.
