Synopsis for Bruker Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization (MALDI) Biotyper Sirius Research Use Only (RUO) System

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF), Foreign Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (FADDL) has a requirement for a Bruker Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization (MALDI) Biotyper Sirius Research Use Only (RUO) System.

This is a brand name requirement, please see the attached brand name justification.

The Contractor's unit price shall include all costs associated with furnishing and delivering all materials and for performing all work required under the contract in a complete and acceptable manner. The government intends to award a firm fixed price commercial contract for this requirement.

It is the contractor's responsibility to check this website periodically for amendments. Quotes shall be submitted to the contracting activity by the date and time indicated in the request for quote.

Background
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF), Foreign Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (FADDL) has a requirement for a Bruker Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization (MALDI) Biotyper Sirius Research Use Only (RUO) System.

This acquisition is necessary to maintain standardization of equipment and methods in the diagnostic laboratory, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and custom libraries for accurate diagnostic testing.

The contract involves the procurement of the following items:
1. #1890102 MALDI Biotyper® sirius RUO System - A benchtop MALDI-Time-Of-Flight Mass Spectrometer for accurate mass determination of biomolecules.
2. #1885983 Computer System MBT sirius/Win10 - Includes a data system with digitizer, WIN10 Operating System, LCD-display, Keyboard, Mouse, bar code scanner with holder, and an Acronis True Image DVD including one license.
3. #1885985 Cable set Computer/MBT sirius - Interfacing the computer system with the Bruker mass spectrometer.
4. #1847032 MBT Shuttle - Used to securely hold MSP steel MALDI target plates or MBT Biotargets during sample preparation.
5. #1840375 MBT Biotarget 96 - Disposable target plate for MALDI Biotyper workflow to enable microorganism detection and identification.
