Background
The contract is for the purchase of a replacement Bruker MALDI Biotyper Sirius RUO Machine and associated items. The equipment is needed to support the day-to-day tasks and overall mission of the National Veterinary Services Laboratories’ Diagnostic Bacteriology and Pathology Laboratory (DBPL) located in Ames, Iowa. The DBPL provides diagnostic assistance for bacterial and protozoal diseases, administers proficiency tests for selected diseases, and performs various diagnostic tasks. The DBPL is also a Reference Laboratory for the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) and a Reference Centre for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation (FAO).

The delivery is required within 120 days of award.
