Background
This Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) is issued by the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Soldier Center, aimed at advancing state-of-the-art technologies and increasing knowledge to eliminate current technology barriers.

3. Textile Technologies: Research on multi-functional materials.
4. Modeling and Simulation: Enhancements in operational effectiveness and survivability metrics for individual soldiers and small units.
5. Soldier Effectiveness: Development of body-worn systems and smart electronic components to enhance maneuverability and protection; research on biomechanics, anthropometry, warrior performance optimization; soldier power sources; technology assessment tools; ecological approaches to warfighter survivability; soldier-centric sensors.
6. Expeditionary Maneuver Support: Research on electromagnetic interference protection, environmental protection technologies, energy efficiency solutions for deployment durability.
7. Aerial Delivery: Advanced personnel and cargo airdrop systems development.
8. Simulation and Training Technology: Innovations in live training simulations that replicate battlefield effects including medical simulations; advanced interactive simulations; cyberspace warfare training; adaptive instructional systems; battlespace visualization tools; collaboration with creative technology institutes.

The work will primarily be conducted at the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center located at General Greene Avenue, Natick, MA 01760-5020.
