Bridge Replacements in Canovanas - PR ER PRMNT RPR(1)   2

Background
The project involves bridge replacements in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico, under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division (EFLHD).

The mission is to enhance transportation infrastructure while adhering to environmental regulations and stakeholder coordination. The goal is to replace two bridges, ensuring compliance with the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) and other local government requirements.

Work Details
The work is divided into two schedules:

- Schedule A (Base Contract) includes full design and permitting for Bridge No. 606 and Bridge No. 653, along with construction of Bridge No. 606 on a new alignment along PR-962. This involves removal of existing structures, roadway obliteration, traffic control, and miscellaneous tasks.

- Schedule B (Option 1) covers construction of a new two-lane Bridge No. 653 on PR-957. The Design-Build Scope of Work encompasses project management, community coordination, surveying, roadway design, geotechnical analysis, environmental compliance, utility relocations, and construction management. Specific tasks include erosion control design, hydrology analysis, cultural resource assessments, noise mitigation plans, and quality management programs throughout both design and construction phases.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed in the Municipality of Canóvanas, Puerto Rico.
