Breaching Shotguns

Background
The FBI is seeking to secure an IDIQ contract for breaching shotguns. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is the federal government's principal agency responsible for investigating violations of more than 260 Federal statutes. As an investigative arm of the United States Department of Justice, FBI personnel, in the execution of their responsibilities, may be involved in high threat assignments where deadly force may be used in the face of violent confrontations.

Work Details
The breaching shotgun is required for FBI tactical teams to provide forced entry capabilities for numerous mission sets, including emergency hostage rescue and active shooter response. The breaching shotgun is necessary in crisis response situations requiring a rapid fail-safe breach. The shotgun must meet specific requirements such as being semiautomatic, magazine fed, chambered to accept up to 12 gauge 3” Magnum, reliably feed and cycle the FBI Breaching round (12 ga, 2 3/4”, 45 Gram, TEAR), built on an AR platform, have integrated rails with ability to mount a single point sling attachment into the receiver of the weapon, and more. The contract will be structured as a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ), type contract for one (1) base year and four (4) possible one-year option periods. The maximum threshold for the established IDIQ shall be $4,900,000.00 USD.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance shall be a twelve (12) month base period, to begin on the date of award, with four (4) potential one-year option periods.

Place of Performance
Deliveries shall be shipped FOB Destination to all FBI (and other approved Federal government) locations within the continental United States (CONUS), as well as Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
