Background
The U.S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is requesting submissions to pre-qualify firms for Construction Services for the construction of re-developing the United States Embassy Compound in Brasilia, Brazil. The project aims to address the inadequate space for the current mission population and projected growth, as well as to upgrade infrastructure and equipment at the existing office building.

Work Details
The project scope includes re-developing the United States Embassy compound in Brasilia, Brazil, which involves constructing a New Office Building (NOB) to house the Chancery, Marine Security Guard Quarter (MSGQ), and a General Services Office/Support Annex/Utility Building (SPX). The project also includes parking for official vehicles, recreational facilities, vehicular/pedestrian screening facilities, new landscaping plan including reconstructing the existing Burle Marx Courtyard, and relocating offices within the designated construction area into swing space within the EOB. The estimated construction cost is $320 - 400 million.
