BPS 2000 and BPS 3000 Service Plan

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract with a base and four option years using other than full and open competition for a total care service plan to support operation of the Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) Banknote Processing System (BPS 3000) and (BPS 2000). There are a total of two (2) BPS 3000 systems of which one is located at the Washington DC facility and the other is at the Fort Worth Texas facility. There are a total of six (6) BPS 2000 systems of which four (4) are at the Washington DC facility and two (2) are at the Fort Worth facility. These systems are also referred to as "Single Note Inspection (SNI)" systems. The service plan will include preventative maintenance, remedial maintenance, replacement parts, software support, telephone support and on-call maintenance as well as travel, delivery, time, labor, equipment (e.g. test equipment and tools) that are necessary to support the service plan.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, if any, is solely at the discretion of the Government. The NAICS code is 811310 and the small business size standard is $7 million. This is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 12:00 pm ET on Friday, 11 March, 2016. All responses must be in writing and are to be sent via email to the point of contact specified in this notice. No telephone inquiries. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
