Background
This is Phase 1, Request for Proposal (RFP), of a 2 Phase Design/Build Project to Upgrade Multiple Cranes in the Booster Fabrication Facility (BFF) at Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida. The project is a total Small Business Set Aside; applies. The applicable Code is 333923 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. Offeror MUST be registered and VETS-4212.

Work Details
The Design/Build project aims to design, construct/install, and test the refurbishment and upgrades to eleven various 1/2-ton to 15-ton cranes and monorails in the BFF at NASA’s KSC in Florida. The refurbishment and upgrades include replacement of hoist & trolley units, furnishing new VFD hoist, bridge, and trolley controls, providing new stainless steel control enclosures, festoon systems, touchup painting of existing crane/monorail structures, documentation, as-built drawings, shop performance and load testing, site performance and load testing, providing new slim lightweight pendant stations, anti-collision system for two 15-ton cranes, end of travel limit switches for trolley & bridge for all cranes and monorails.
