Boise District Backflow Testing & Repair   2

Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Boise District is seeking bids for potable water backflow testing and minor repairs. The mission of the BLM is to manage public lands for a variety of uses while ensuring the protection of natural resources. The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding backflow prevention, which is critical for maintaining safe drinking water.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for conducting annual backflow testing and certification at 21 locations within the Boise District, including administrative and recreation sites. Specific tasks include:
1. Performing backflow testing and certification according to Idaho state codes.
2. Conducting minor repairs as needed, with an additional budget not to exceed $1500 per year.
3. Scheduling inspections at least 72 hours in advance.
4. Ensuring all equipment used is properly maintained and certified for backflow testing.
5. Complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding potable water systems.

Period of Performance
The contract period will begin on May 1, 2025, and will run through April 30, 2030, including one base year and four optional renewal years.
