This RFI seeks to obtain information regarding the current status of industry capabilities related to body-worn cameras (BWC) and their supporting technologies, vehicle-mounted cameras/vessel-mounted cameras, digital evidence management software (DEMS) licenses, cloud storage, and additional technologies to support the operational needs of various DHS components.

Background
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has identified a programmatic requirement to purchase hardware and software for various Incident-Driven Video Recording Systems (IDVRS) and body-worn camera (BWC) programs. This need arose from comprehensive evaluations, studies, and market research aimed at enhancing the recording of interactions not captured by existing fixed camera systems.

The IDVRS technology primarily utilizes BWCs, which are widely employed by law enforcement agencies across the nation.

Work Details
The contract encompasses the procurement of various components for the IDVRS, including:
- Body-Worn Cameras (BWCs) with specific requirements such as:
- Physical dimensions not exceeding 3 inches (L) x 2 inches (W) x 4 inches (H).
- Weight not exceeding 8 ounces.
- Durability to survive a 6-foot drop.
- Mounting systems to secure attachment to law enforcement uniforms.
- Manual start/stop recording capability.
- Pre-event recording capability of at least 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
- Minimum battery life of 10 hours during constant recording.
- Storage capacity for a minimum of 12 hours of recorded footage.
- Video resolution of at least 720p HD with a field of view of at least 120 degrees.
- Water resistance equivalent to IP67 rating and ability to withstand various environmental conditions.
