This IS NOT a request for proposal or a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge and information of potential qualified firms. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the Government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. There will be no compensation provided for any submissions provided to the Government. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualification of various members of industry, to include Large Businesses, Small Businesses and Not for Profit. The Bureau of Land Management, State of Idaho, is seeking information from certified/authorized, qualified, experienced, and interested sources with the capacity and technical capability necessary to successfully provide Caterpillar brand equipment routine maintenance, repairs, servicing, attachments, rental, updates and parts throughout the state of Idaho. The Government will utilize this information in determining an acquisition strategy. Sources are being sought for firms with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 532490 Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing, with a Small Business Size Standard of $35.00 Million. Please state all the socio-economic categories in which your company belongs, if any (8(a), Hub-zone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Woman Owned). The requirement shall provide Bureau of Land Management, Idaho, Caterpillar brand equipment routine maintenance, repairs, servicing, attachments, rental, updates and parts, which must be accomplished by a certified and authorized Caterpillar dealer to comply with warrantied and proprietary operation systems. Due to the emergency response application of this equipment, repairs and servicing must be to the highest standards with OEM parts and materials to ensure peak equipment operation and safety. To ensure operator confidence and safety, rented equipment must meet the same specifications set forth by Idaho BLM.
