Description

This action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business Act.

The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for Building 430A Repair Target Prep Area and Building 593.

  1. Demolition
    1. Contractor must remove existing flooring and wall base in its entirety.
    2. Contractor must demolish indicated portion of wall and prep for installation of door frame.
    3. Contractor must remove existing door.
    4. Contractor must remove existing lighting in its entirety.
    5. Contractor must remove and salvage data drop.
    6. Contractor must remove existing emergency lights and wire mold in their entirety.
    7. Contractor must remove light switch and cover plate. Contractor must reuse circuit.
    8. Existing HVAC supply and return diffusers to remain. Contractor to clean and comfort balance.
    9. Contractor must remove existing light switch and circuit in their entirety. Replace with blank cover plate to match existing.
    10. Contractor must remove and salvage indicated wall mounted data jacks in Room 2 in B593. Patch and paint to match existing wall.
    11. Contractor must remove and salvage indicated wall mounted phone jacks in Room 2 in B593. Patch and paint to match existing wall.
  2. Construction
    1. Contractor must provide and install new rubber flooring (FL-1) and wall base (RB-1).
    2. Contractor must provide and install carpet tiles (FL-2) and wall base (RB-1).
    3. Contractor must construct new 3-5/8" 20-gauge metal stud wall with 3" sound insulation and one-layer pf 5/8" gyp. board on each side. Tape, float, texture and paint to match existing adjacent walls, install rubber wall base (RB-1). Refer to material schedule on sheet A-201. Construct wall to ceiling, as indicated on drawings.
    4. Contractor must install salvaged data drop and conduit.
    5. Contractor must patch and paint walls to match existing, as indicated on drawings.
    6. Contractor must provide and install new doors, frames, and associated hardware, refer to door schedule on sheet A-201, as indicated on drawings.
    7. Contractor must provide and install new light switch with cover plate to match existing. Tie into existing circuit.
    8. Contractor must provide and install nine (9) new surface- mounted lights (L-1). Refer to lighting schedule on sheet A-201.
    9. Contractor must provide and install new light switch with cover plate to match existing. Contractor must run and tie into new circuit, as indicated on drawings.
    10. Contractor must provide and install new emergency light (L-2). Refer to lighting schedule on sheet A-201, as indicated on drawings.
    11. Contractor must provide and install new emergency exit lights (L-3). Refer to lighting schedule on sheet A-201, as indicated on drawings.
    12. Contractor must patch and paint ceiling to match existing walls, as indicated on drawings.
    13. Contractor must provide and install new workbenches and shelves, as indicated on drawings.
    14. Contractor must install one (1) new surface mounted drop for NIPR, cable to be cat 6 green. Terminate per comm notes on sheet G-000, as indicated on drawings.
    15. Contractor must replace door and associated hardware with new door with tempered glass and closer, refer to elevation 3 on drawings for B593.
    16. Contractor must install new trilogy cipher lock and associated hardware on new door in B593.
    17. Contractor to install salvaged wall mounted data jacks and conduit on indicated wall in Room 2 in B593. Contractor to hook up data to new furniture (NIC).
    18. Contractor must install salvaged wall mounted phone jacks and conduit on indicated wall in Room 2 in B593. Contractor to hook up phone ports to new furniture (NIC).
    19. Contractor to connect new furniture to indicated power in Room 2 in B593.
