Description

This action was awarded as an 8(a) Sole Source Set-Aside under the authority of section 8(a) of the Small Business Act.

The contractor shall furnish all parts, material, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to complete the work for Building 277 Repair Suite 230.

  1. Demolition
    1. Contractor must remove all wall base in the work area.
    2. Contractor must remove all carpet in the work area.
    3. Contractor must remove acrylic corner guards as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings.
    4. Existing flooring to remain, remove existing floor transition strip as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings.
    5. User will remove existing device (Panaboard). Contractor must remove existing mounting brackets and salvage for reinstallation in the exact same location as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings.
    6. Contractor must remove door slab. Salvage and store door hardware to be reinstalled in the same location (Option 1) as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings.
    7. Contractor must remove knock-down metal frame (Option 2) as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings.
  2. Contractor must patch and prepare all walls to receive new finish. Contractor must apply wall texture to match walls in adjacent corridor as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings.
  3. Contractor must provide and apply paint finish. One (1) coat of primer and two (2) coats of paint. Field paint color to be Dunn Edwards DEC785 Whisper Gray LRV 73.

Accent paint color to be determined by the user on site. Contractor to provide a color chart for the user to select three (3) colors. General contractor will paint one (1) square of 2'x2' feet with each color for the user to make the final selection as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings.

3.Contractor must provide and install new carpet tile. Shaw 24 x 24 Climate 75765, quarter turn installation method, or approved equal. Contractor must provide necessary floor transition strips, Johnsonite color 29 Moon Rock as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings.

4.Contractor must provide and install new rubber wall base, 4" cove. Johnsonite 29 Moon Rock or approved equal.

5. Contractor must provide and install new rubber stair stringers, treads and risers. Johnsonite color 29 Moon Rock as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings.

6. Contractor must provide and install new 2"x2"x96" corner guards. Clear acrylic to match existing as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings.

7. Contractor must provide and install new door slab and hinges. Wood species and stain color to match existing. Reinstall salvaged existing door hardware, see note 6 (Option 1) as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings. (General contractor must provide separate pricing for this item).

8. Contractor must provide and install new metal ready frame. Color to match existing frames (Option 2) as indicated on the Not For Construction Drawings..(General contractor must provide separate pricing for this item).

9. Contractor must provide and apply paint on metal door frame only. Color to match existing knock-down frames in the suite.

10. Contractor must provide and install new simplex cipher lock in these doors (total of 3). Contractor must ensure door is prepared per cipher lock manufacturer's specifications.
