Bldg. 208 Floor Pit Repairs   3

Background
The 105th Stewart Air National Guard Base Building requires a fully operational vehicle maintenance shop. The maintenance shop has recently upgraded to utilize lifts for vehicle maintenance which has rendered floor pits unnecessary. The floor pits have been covered, presenting a tripping/falling hazard.

Work Details
The contractor shall:
- Remove the crushed stone inside the pit
- Remove and discard all mechanical devices in pits
- Cap any penetrations to the pit
- Fill the pits with concrete material to grade
- Provide a concrete washout area in the storage yard adjacent to the project site
- Finish all concrete with a smooth finish
- Treat the concrete surface with a non-skid surface coat to match existing adjacent floor.
The contractor shall also provide all tools, materials, equipment, transportation, removal of debris and trash, supervision, and management necessary to install, test, and repair facility safety items located at Stewart Air National Guard Base.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 30 calendar days after receiving award notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
Performance shall take place at the 105th Airlift Wing, Stewart ANGB, Newburgh, NY.
