8/7: The purpose of this soliciation amendment is to upload : answers to questions recieved,and a revised PWS. Additionally, the proposal deadline has been extended to 8/12/2025 at 4:00 pm EST.

Description:

This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12. Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services . The DHA Northeastern Healthcare Operations Contracting Division (NEHO-CD) has a requirement for a Biomedical Technician Services at 48th Medical Support Squadron at RAF LAKENHEATH, UK.

The contractor must provide current Representation and Certifications, with quote. Companies must have a valid Unique Entity ID and be registered with System for Award Management (www.sam.gov). The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Quotes will be evaluated based on best value to the Government.

Submission Instructions:

The government will consider questions to this announcement no later than (NLT) Friday, 1 August 2025 at 4:00 PM EST. Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the services on the Performance Work Statement are invited to submit a response to this RFQ NLT Friday, 8 August 2025 by 4:00 PM EST. Background
The solicitation is issued by the DHA Northeastern Healthcare Operations Contracting Division (NEHO-CD) for Biomedical Technician Services at the 48th Medical Support Squadron located at RAF Lakenheath, UK.

The goal of this contract is to provide full-time biomedical equipment technician services to support the medical treatment facility (MTF) in maintaining and repairing medical equipment in accordance with established standards and regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide two full-time Biomedical Equipment Technicians responsible for operations support at the Medical Equipment Repair Section.

Key tasks include:
- repairing, calibrating, and maintaining medical equipment;
- performing inspections and installations;
- maintaining documentation systems;
- troubleshooting equipment issues;
- conducting preventive maintenance procedures;
- providing technical assistance to clinical staff;
- evaluating new medical equipment; and
- ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Technicians must possess knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to biomedical equipment. Responsibilities also include preparing work orders, requisitioning parts, and documenting maintenance activities. Personnel must have an associate's degree or equivalent experience in electronics or biomedical technology, along with certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS).

Period of Performance
The contract period spans from September 30, 2025, to September 29, 2030, with potential extensions based on performance.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance is RAF Lakenheath Buildings 916 and 70. Additional work may occur at other facilities including RAF Mildenhall and RAF Feltwell.
