BioElectronics to Sense and Treat (BEST) Proposers Day

Background
The Biological Technologies Office (BTO) of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is hosting a Proposers Day for the potential proposer community in support of a planned Program Solicitation (PS) for the BioElectronics to Sense and Treat (BEST) program. The goal of the BEST program is to develop wearable, automated technologies that can predict and prevent wound infections in combat scenarios, addressing a critical need for military personnel who face high risks of wound infections due to combat injuries.

Work Details
The Proposers Day will include:

1. Introduction of the BEST program vision and goals to the science and technology community;

2. Explanation of DARPA program mechanics and specific objectives and milestones of the BEST program;

3. Introduction of potential government partners and their technology requirements;

4. Promotion of teaming arrangements among organizations with relevant expertise for executing research and development responsive to BEST goals.

Participants can present their technical capabilities through 3-minute Lightning Talks, and there will be opportunities for private sidebar meetings with the Program Manager, Dr. Leonard Tender, to discuss project scope.

Period of Performance
The Proposers Day will be held on February 19, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET.

Place of Performance
The event will take place in person at Strategic Analysis, Inc. Executive Conference Center (SA ECC), Arlington, VA, and via webcast.
