Description

The contractor will provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, transportation, supervision, engineering and design required to upgrade the power at Berth #2 in Marine Corps Support Facility Blount Island (MCSF-BI). The work include relocation of electric underground primary lines, installation of a new 4-way primary switch, installation of pad mounted transformers, switchgear(s), shore power igloos and shore power receptacles to provide 5600 amps @ 480V electric supply for ships at Berth 2 for nesting of two NAVY vessels. The structure 202, was constructed in 1989 and serves primarily for mooring home ported and
transient ships. A new pile supported concrete pier will be designed and constructed to support the electrical conduits out to the existing pier .The projectwill mitigate power deficiencies in Berth 2 to support Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) plan to berth two cargo loaded vessels long term in MCSF-BI.. attached. All work is located at Mayport FL.
