BEJ Curtesy Dock Supply and Installation

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this contract for the supply and installation of a new courtesy dock at Poe’s Ridge Boat Ramp in Moncure, North Carolina. The goal of this contract is to enhance recreational facilities managed by the Corps, ensuring they meet safety and accessibility standards.

Work Details
The Contractor shall supply, deliver, and install a new courtesy dock at Poe’s Ridge Boat Ramp. This includes:
- Removal of existing gangway and 12’ x 20’ courtesy dock attached to a concrete bulkhead.
- Installation of a new gangway (4’ wide x 40’ long) with skid-resistant aluminum decking, fully ADA-compliant with continuous handrails.
- Construction of a courtesy dock with minimum dimensions of 224 square feet (12’ width x 20’ length), using marine-grade aluminum with specific structural requirements including flotation units and anchoring systems.
- Compliance with safety regulations as per U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Manual EM 385-1-1, including daily safety meetings and documentation requirements.

Period of Performance
Work shall commence within thirty (30) days of the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and must be completed within ninety (90) days thereafter.

Poe’s Ridge Boat Ramp, 935 Jordan Dam Road, Moncure, NC 27559.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the following requirements:
- Small Business Set Aside - Total (SBA).
- Must provide bid/payment/performance bonds.
- Contractors must have appropriate licenses for construction work in North Carolina.
- Safety qualifications as per EM 385-1-1 are required, including having a Level 2 Site Safety and Health Officer on site.
