Description

The position supports mental fitness and wellness by identifying, tracking, and assisting in determining the disposition of Service Members with behavioral health concerns through evaluation and monitoring of West Virginia Army National Guard (WVARNG) personnel in accordance with military regulations. The Behavioral Health Counselors must also be aware of all available assistance and treatment resources, link identified at-risk service members with those resources, and monitor their compliance, progress and outcome of services rendered.

Background
The West Virginia Army National Guard (WVARNG) is seeking to support mental fitness and wellness by providing Behavioral Health Counselor services. The goal of this contract is to identify, track, and assist Service Members with behavioral health concerns through evaluation and monitoring in accordance with military regulations.

The Behavioral Health Counselors will connect at-risk service members with available treatment resources and monitor their compliance, progress, and outcomes.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide both clinical and non-clinical counseling support services, including:

- Understanding emotional and behavioral problems;
- Connecting service members with resources;
- Tracking Soldiers who are not Fully Medically Ready;
- Coordinating information and outreach services within the WVARNG;
- Making assessments of service members' mental status;
- Documenting results of case reviews;
- Providing monthly E-Case reports;
- Determining deployability of soldiers;
- Conducting training on counseling services;
- Coordinating care with TRICARE and other providers;
- Maintaining awareness of applicable regulations;
- Liaising between military and community agencies;
- Implementing prevention and outreach programs;
- Developing plans to promote psychological health;
- Maintaining Soldier medical records;
- Providing updates on Soldier readiness to Unit Personnel;
- Safeguarding government property;
- Responding to time-sensitive calls;
- Updating case records promptly; and
- Providing on-call services for a dedicated 24/7 crisis hotline.

Performance shall be based out of 100 Military Drive, South Charleston, WV 25309.
