Bearing Test Stand Upgrades   2

The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) intends to negotiate and award a new sole source purchase order to MOOG Incorporated, Industrial Controls Division, 300 Jamison Rd Plant 11, Elma, NY 14059. This purchase order will improve the availability and affordability of airframe bearings to the fleet through upgrades to the existing NAWC-AD Airframe Bearing Lab (NAB) High Speed Bearing Test Stand. These upgrades will enable qualification of additional vendors to high speed oscillating bearing standards, and will also support engineering investigations and improvement projects. This contract will be awarded using FAR Part 12, in conjunction with FAR Part 13.5, policies and procedures. MOOG incorporated is the original equipment manufactuer of the current Bearing Test Stand. The Government does not own the techncial data rights for the current Bearing Test Stand.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No phone inquiries will be entertained. However, responsible interested parties may submit questions or a capability statement in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement in writing via e-mail to the attention of erik.k.seastrand.civ@us.navy.mil and clairee.dawson.civ@us.navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information received. The Government intends to use the policies and procedures of FAR Part 12, in conjunction with FAR Part 13.5, for this acquisition.
