Background
The United States Air Force (USAF) is seeking to notify the industry of its intent for contract action regarding HVAC pump and motor repairs at Beale Air Force Base (AFB), California.

This Sources Sought Synopsis aims to gather information on potentially qualified sources and their size classifications, including small business, large business, and service-disabled veteran classifications.

The anticipated contract action is expected to be issued as a firm-fixed price award.

Work Details
The Contractor shall be responsible for the repair of hot water circulating pumps and chilled water circulating pumps used in HVAC systems, including AC motors for both types of circulating pumps and AC motors for air handlers located at Beale AFB HVAC shop.

The work includes:
1. Pre-disassemble testing of electric motors and/or pumps, including surge tests and hi-pot tests of electric motor windings.
2. Full voltage no-load, vibration analysis, electrical and vibration tests.
3. Disassembly and inspection of electric motors and/or pumps.
4. Cleaning and preparation of all mechanical and electric parts.
5. Rewinding stators if needed, checking all mechanical fits and internal clearances, machining parts if necessary.
6. Reassembly of motors/pumps with new bearings, seals, and other parts as needed.
7. Surge and hi-pot testing after reassembly.
8. Painting motors/pumps to original color and aligning pump, motor, and coupling.
9. Providing replacement pump motors if the original is un-repairable.
10. All work must include a 90-day warranty on parts and labor.
11. Service calls will be initiated by the HVAC appointed Point of Contact (POC), with summaries provided upon completion detailing hours expended and materials used.
