Description

A.General Requirements:
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (OVAHCS), is seeking professionalBid-Build (B/B) services to construct the project titled Renovate Lake Nona Building 1 Women's Health at theOVAHCS, Lake Nona facility, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827.

The Contractor shall provide all construction services including labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervisionas necessary to construct the project described herein and other specified tasks as further defined in theStatement of Work (SOW). The construction shall be in accordance with the 100% design drawings, andspecifications for this project. Refer to attachments.

B.Project Overview:
This project includes the renovation of approximately 8,272 sf of existing administrative space for Lake NonaWomen's Health Clinic. The renovation area will be in building 1, level 4, Area A, Zone 1 and 2 at Orlando VeteransAffairs Medical Center (OVAMC). Work includes architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and lowvoltage.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (OVAHCS), is seeking professional Bid-Build (B/B) services to construct the project titled 'Renovate Lake Nona Building 1 Women’s Health' at the OVAHCS, Lake Nona facility, located at 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827.

The goal of this contract is to renovate existing administrative space to enhance the Women's Health Clinic services.

Work Details
The project involves the renovation of approximately 8,272 square feet of existing administrative space for the Lake Nona Women’s Health Clinic.

The renovation area will be in building 1, level 4, Area A, Zone 1 and 2 at Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center (OVAMC). The work includes: architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and low voltage tasks.

Specific requirements include ensuring that construction does not impact patient care during normal operating hours (Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm), using exterior construction chutes for debris removal which may require temporary window removal, and utilizing designated entrances for construction personnel.

The contractor must also provide special inspections for structural work by an independent third party and ensure all materials are tracked for recycling purposes.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 270 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Orlando VA Medical Center located at 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827.
