Background
The Battle Creek VA Medical Center (VAMC), located at 5500 Armstrong Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49037, serves over 45,000 veterans primarily from the Grand Rapids area and its Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).

The facility has 276 inpatient beds and handles approximately 1,025 inpatient admissions and 235,000 outpatient visits annually. This contract aims to provide non-emergency ambulance transportation services to the VAMC and its affiliated clinics.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Critical Care Transport (CCT) services. Specific tasks include:
- Providing all vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and necessary reporting for stretcher transports, BLS, ALS, and CCT services available 24/7.
- Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding ambulance services.
- Transporting patients along with their luggage and medical items at no additional cost.
- Maintaining a courteous demeanor among contractor personnel while providing services.
- Ensuring that all personnel meet required qualifications including certifications and background checks as mandated by the VA.
- Utilizing the VetRide Vendor Portal or VA-approved transportation software for managing transportation requests.

Period of Performance
The contract will have five ordering periods starting from September 30, 2025 through September 29, 2030.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed primarily at the Battle Creek VAMC and its associated CBOCs located in Michigan.
