Base Operations Support (BOS) Services - Pittsburgh ARS   2

NOTICE OF AWARD OF A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-2, the 911th MSG/PK, awarded a sole source Firm-Fixed Price, Labor Hour and Cost Reimbursement contract to the incumbent Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Criterion Corporation. Use of the authority under FAR 6.302-2 and 10 USC 3204(a)(2), Unusual and Compelling Urgency, was found appropriate as any lapse in the award of a contract for BOS services, which provides mission-essential services to Pittsburgh ARS, would result in the shut-down of operations at Pittsburgh ARS, PA. A determination not to compete this proposed short-term contract was based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. As evidenced in the sole source justification, there is only one contractor that could continue the requirements of this contract without unacceptable delays. Proposals ARE NOT being requested and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued.
