Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. This is not a solicitation announcement. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Submission of any information in response to this request is purely voluntary; the Government will not pay for any costs incurred nor is it obligated to respond.

The purpose of this Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of commercially available services that may be of interest to the United States Coast Guard (USCG) as described in this notice. Responses will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy, including whether a set-aside is appropriate.

Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent based on prior Coast Guard refuse and recycling contract 70Z08422CCCOD0001 awarded to Cavossa Disposal for $625,695 (02/01/22–01/31/27) for refuse and recycling services at USCG Base Cape Cod, MA. The scope described in the current sources sought—on-site collection and off-site disposal of solid waste for Base Cape Cod housing and associated properties—appears to be a continuation of that established base refuse/recycling requirement.
