This update is to post questions and answers to M2900025Q6002. Questions and answers are attached.

This update is to post amendment 0001 to M2900025Q6002 ISTF Barge Support. This amendment corrects the quantity in CLIN 0001 from "8" to "16" to more accurately convey that we are asking for "roundtrip" movements.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

This requirement is for barge transportation services from Naha Military Port to Ie Shima Port with material handling support at Ie Shima Port. Please refer to the attached solicitation and performance work statement for details.

Background
The 3rd Expeditionary Contracting Platoon (ECP) is issuing this solicitation for barge transportation services from Naha Military Port to Ie Shima Port, including material handling support at Ie Shima Port.

This requirement supports the Marine Wing Support Squadron 172 in deploying capabilities for the Resolute Dragon 2025 exercise at Ie Shima Training Facility, Japan. The contract aims to ensure safe and efficient transportation of military equipment as part of the U.S. Government's operational requirements.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide barge support that meets all license, registration, permit, and insurance requirements per host country regulations. Responsibilities include:
- Safe transportation of equipment while loaded on the barge, including securing the load.
- Employing a roll-on/roll-off type vessel with a minimum of 400 square meters of deck space capable of transporting specified cargo.
- Providing material handling support capable of lifting up to 10,000 pounds (4,535 kilograms) at Ie Shima Port.
- Operating contractor-provided material handling equipment while U.S. Government personnel will operate all U.S. Government-owned equipment.
- Ensuring permissible sea state and tide conditions for safe travel.
- Scheduling with authorities at Naha Military Port and Ie Shima Port after receiving scheduling requests from the U.S. Government's technical representative.

Period of Performance
The contract performance is expected to occur during specific dates: September 3-7 and September 27-30, 2025.
