Barge IDIQ FY24 - FY29   2

Background
The BARGE IDIQ contract is issued by the Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) for the U.S. Navy, aimed at providing comprehensive support for the maintenance and repair of U.S. Navy Living Barges and their auxiliary systems.

The contract spans fiscal years 2024 to 2029, with a focus on ensuring operational readiness and safety through timely and effective maintenance services.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide management, administrative, and production services necessary for depot-level troubleshooting, repair, replacement, refurbishment, modernization, maintenance, and testing of Living Barges. Specific tasks include:
1. Furnishing necessary materials, tools, equipment, and facilities.
2. Performing repairs on hull, mechanical, and electrical systems.
3. Conducting inspections to determine repair options.
4. Providing qualified technicians for onboard repairs.
5. Coordinating schedules with the SUPERVISOR for barge repairs.
6. Conducting completion inspections with the SUPERVISOR after repairs.
7. Ensuring quality assurance inspections and certifications are performed on all repair actions.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2029 across multiple ordering periods.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place at Mayport Naval Station in Florida, where barges may be berthed next to a pier or outboard of another vessel.
