Description

This procurement is restricted to the approved companies eligible for call orders under the Rocky Mountain Restoration Project (RMRP) Stewardship BPA.

This requirement may be awarded to two vendors as BPA Call Orders against BPA's previously solicited on the Government Point of Entry (GPE). The government will not provide feedback or evaluations to companies regarding their submissions in response to this notice.

Banquet-Plateau DxP IRSC is a multi-project solicitation focused on increasing forest resiliency and resistance to bark beetle epidemic, increasing age class diversity, promoting recovery of forest vegetation, reducing the risk of high severity wildfires, and providing wood products for both commercial and non-commercial uses. This initiative may award two separate projects: Banquet DxP IRSC and Plateau DxP IRSC.

There is no site visit scheduled for this project.

Background
The Banquet-Plateau DxP IRSC is a multi-project solicitation under the Rocky Mountain Restoration Project (RMRP) Stewardship BPA, issued by the USDA Forest Service. The initiative aims to enhance forest resiliency and resistance to bark beetle epidemics, increase age class diversity, promote recovery of forest vegetation, reduce the risk of high-severity wildfires, and provide wood products for both commercial and non-commercial uses.

This procurement may award contracts to two vendors for separate projects: Banquet DxP IRSC and Plateau DxP IRSC.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for various mandatory and optional work activities including:
1. Cutting and removing included timber in designated areas (Banquet Contract Area: 490 acres; Plateau Contract Area: 521 acres).
2. Cutting, skidding, and decking designated timber (non-sawtimber and dead sawtimber) in specified units.
3. The project objectives include cutting and removing ponderosa pine live saw timber within specified diameter ranges, as well as dead sawtimber and non-sawtimber. Specific sections of land in Montezuma County, Colorado are designated for these activities.

The contractor must commence work within 10 calendar days after receiving a Notice to Proceed.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for mandatory work items is from the date of award through September 30, 2029. Optional work items will have a performance period extending through September 30, 2030.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in the San Juan National Forest, specifically in the Dolores Ranger District located in Montezuma County, Colorado.
