The purpose of this sources sought notice is to accomplish market research pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, and to identify businesses capable of performing the functions described herein. The government is requesting information regarding the availability of capable firms to support the requirements of THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) for the New Embassy Compound (NEC) in Bangui, Central African Republic .

Background
The U.S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is seeking market research for the design and construction of a New Embassy Compound (NEC) in Bangui, Central African Republic. The purpose of this notice is to identify businesses capable of supporting the requirements for the NEC project.

Work Details
The NEC project includes the design/build construction of a new office building, three campus access control buildings, support annex with shops and vehicle maintenance, marine security guard residence, staff housing, parking, recreation facility, helicopter landing zone, and utility building. The estimated construction cost is $400-$460 million and the contract type will be Firm-Fixed Price.

The construction projects will be performed at the New Embassy Compound (NEC) site in Bangui, Central African Republic.
