Description

PROVIDE AND SERVE BOXED LUNCHES (SUB SANDWICHES) TO APPLICANTS PROCESSING AT THE BALTIMORE MEPS.

Background
The contract is issued by the Baltimore Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), which is responsible for processing Armed Forces applicants. The goal of this contract is to provide nutritious boxed lunch meals for applicants during their processing at the MEPS, ensuring they are well-fed while undergoing various assessments and evaluations necessary for military enlistment.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide boxed meals for Armed Forces applicants at the Baltimore MEPS located at 850 Chisholm Avenue, Fort Meade, Maryland. The contractor must enter the base via the Mapes 175 gate and undergo a 100% accountability check. Meals must be prepared in a licensed facility, transported, and served upon request by the Contracting Officer (KO) or authorized representative. All food must come from a sanitarily approved source as per Army Regulation (AR) 40-657. The contractor's employees must complete required training for access to government installations.

Meals will be served Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and training days, with additional meals on Saturdays and during extended hours processing days (mission days). Each boxed meal will include a sandwich, lettuce, tomato, chips, a cookie, an apple, a straw, and a napkin. A variety of meat submarine sandwiches and veggie options must be provided daily. The contractor is responsible for cleaning the dining area after serving meals and ensuring compliance with health standards.
