Background
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy (CGA) is dedicated to educating, training, and developing leaders of character prepared to serve their country. To support this mission, the Academy relies on a network of volunteers and prospective cadets, including participants in the Cadet Sponsor Program and Academy Admissions Partners. The contract aims to provide comprehensive background screening services for these individuals to ensure safety and compliance with federal regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and secure online systems necessary for conducting background screening services for CGA volunteers and prospective cadets. The required tasks include:

1) SSN Validation and Address Verification;
2) National Criminal File Search and 5-Year Felony Check;
3) Sex Offender Check;
4) Compliance with National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) requirements;
5) Online access for volunteers and cadets to submit information;
6) Notification of completion of background checks to Academy stakeholders;
7) Completion of checks within 72 hours;
8) Secure online access to results;
9) No individual interviews required for background investigations.

Security measures must be in place to protect data confidentiality and integrity.

Period of Performance
One-year base period from September 15, 2026, through September 14, 2027, with four one-year option periods extending through September 14, 2031.
