Description

Construction of a new 5,830 GSF Secure Weapons Assembly Facility inclusive of 3 secure rooms meeting ICD 705 criteria, a high bay work area with a 3-ton crane, an open office/lab area, and various administrative support rooms. NOTE: This solicitation is targeted specifically to the participating vendors in the NAVFAC Washington $750M 8(A) MULTIPLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT. The qualifying IDIQ contract numbers are: N40080-22-D-1113, N40080-22-D-1114, N40080-22-D-1115, N40080-22-D-1116, N40080-22-D-1117, N40080-22-D-1118, and N40080-23-D-1120. See attached Solicitation.

Background
The solicitation is for the construction of a new 5,830 GSF Secure Weapons Assembly Facility at NAS Paxutent River. The solicitation is targeted specifically to the participating vendors in the NAVFAC Washington $750M 8(A) MULTIPLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT. The qualifying IDIQ contract numbers are: N40080-22-D-1113, N40080-22-D-1114, N40080-22-D-1115, N40080-22-D-1116, N40080-22-D-1117, N40080-22-D-1118, and N40080-23-D-1120.

Work Details
The proposed 5,830 SF single-story Secure Weapons Facility will include 3 secure rooms meeting ICD 705 criteria, a high bay work area with a 3-ton crane, an open office/lab area, tool storage area, break area, mothers room, restrooms, mechanical room, and electrical room. The exterior wall construction will be a metal panel system with rigid insulation on a CMU masonry wall. The building will be served by split system heat pumps and an energy recovery ventilator (ERV). Each thermal zone is provided with a split system heat pump. The building will have a sprinkler system and mass notification system.

Period of Performance
The completion of construction is required within 365 calendar days after award (includes 15 calendar days for submission and approval of bonds and insurance).

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at NAS Paxutent River in the vacinity of 142 Firing Tunnel.
