Background
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is issuing this contract to design, implement, and manage the Disability Research Surveys (DRS), which include the National Beneficiary Survey (NBS), a New Applicant Survey (NAS), and a third survey to be determined. The goal is to gather comprehensive data on disability beneficiaries and applicants.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for designing, administering, implementing, and managing three surveys: the National Beneficiary Survey (NBS), a New Applicant Survey (NAS), and a third survey yet to be determined.

Tasks include conducting interviews with sample members, including Spanish speakers; cognitive testing; pretesting; training and testing of interviewers; developing restricted and public use files; locating sample members with missing contact information; finding proxy respondents for those unable to complete interviews due to disabilities; surveying proxy respondents differently from regular respondents; computing corrected standard errors using methods like balanced random replicates; developing sample weights; imputing missing values and checking their reasonableness; achieving an 80% response rate; and providing appropriate assistance to respondents with disabilities.

Period of Performance
The contract has a total period of performance of 90 months, including a 7-year ordering period and an additional 6-month option to extend services.
