Background
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL) conducts various scientific projects and is responsible for providing analyses of environmental matrices, including waters, sediments, and biological tissues. This contract aims to obtain radiochemistry analysis services that meet USGS data-quality objectives and provide documentation, data, metadata, and technical support for data users. The contract will specify the analytical services with analytes, methods, schedules, procedures, and metrics to evaluate successful performance.

Work Details
The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and facilities necessary for chemical analyses as per the specifications outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Key tasks include:

1. Performing radiochemistry analyses using specified analytical methods;
2. Complying with 40 CFR requirements and maintaining accreditation with NELAC or ISO/IEC 17025;
3. Providing method documentation and demonstration data to meet quality-control requirements;
4. Analyzing environmental samples collected by USGS Water Science Centers;
5. Reporting analytical results in specified formats including PDF reports and electronic data deliverables;
6. Ensuring all samples are handled according to safety protocols;
7. Maintaining a tracking system for sample accountability;
8. Storing samples at appropriate temperatures until analysis;
9. Reporting results down to established method detection limits (MDLs) and project-specific reporting limits (PSRLs) as required.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is from September 15, 2025 to September 14, 2030, with an optional six-month extension available.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the National Water Quality Laboratory (NWQL), Water Science Center, Denver Federal Center, Building 95, Denver, CO.
