Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is required under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 to consider the effects of its actions on historic properties.

This contract aims to conduct a Class III cultural resource inventory to identify and evaluate cultural resources that may be affected by proposed actions in Moffat, Rio Blanco, and Garfield Counties, Colorado. The goal is to ensure compliance with federal regulations and protect cultural resources during ground-disturbing activities.

Work Details
The contractor will perform a Class III (intensive) cultural resource inventory over approximately 1,930 acres of public land. Key tasks include:
- Conducting a pre-field literature and records review to identify previously recorded cultural resources;
- Performing a 100% pedestrian survey at specified intervals;
- Documenting all identified cultural resources;
- Re-locating and evaluating previously recorded sites;
- Testing potentially eligible sites for NRHP eligibility;
- Ensuring all site information is kept confidential.

The contractor must adhere to BLM guidelines and standards throughout the process.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from May 16, 2025, to February 27, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will take place on BLM-administered lands in Moffat, Rio Blanco, and Garfield Counties, Colorado.
