2026 Ely Hazardous Fuels Terrestrial AIM

Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in the Ely District is issuing this solicitation for the collection of Terrestrial Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring (AIM) data. The goal is to document the effectiveness of hazardous fuels reduction within the Ely District BLM. The AIM strategy is recognized as an approved monitoring technique for assessing land health. This contract aims to facilitate data collection across BLM administered lands in Nevada.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the collection of Terrestrial AIM data at up to 80 points during the 2026 field season. This consists of 60 base points and an additional 20 option points, contingent on available funding. Data collection will follow core methods outlined in the Monitoring Manual for Grassland, Shrubland, and Savanna Ecosystems.

Specific tasks include:
- Collecting data at targeted and randomly distributed points.
- Implementing core and supplemental methods for vegetation assessment.
- Conducting quality control and data edits by October 31, 2026.
- Ensuring safety protocols are followed during fieldwork in remote locations with challenging access conditions.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from March 16, 2026, to January 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in various locations throughout the Ely District in Nevada.
