Description

A firm fixed-price contract in the amount of $358,349 was awarded to Virginia Tech (VT) and is the result of the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) Early Career Initiative (ECI) solicitation. The period of performance for the contract is 24 months and will allow VT to move forward with the software development to implement closed loop control for tendon-actuated robots such as the Lightweight Surface Manipulation System (LSMS). Analysis of data collected during experimental scenarios and simulations will be used to verify and validate developed algorithms in support of this effort.
