NASA has awarded the Atmosphere Observing System - Polar (AOS-P) Radar Instrument Phase A Study to the Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., of Linthicum Heights, Maryland. The contract action was awarded competitively. This is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract that includes a one (1) 18-month base period with no options. The period of performance began August 31, 2023. The work will be performed at the contractor's facility in Linthicum Heights, Maryland. Under this new contract, Northrop Grumman Systems Corp will provide insight into potential instrument concepts that will support AOS-P mission implementation, with particular attention to performance capability, developmental maturity, and developmental risk of the AOS Radar Instrument.
