Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded a contract for acquisition of Air Traffic Control Beacon Interrogator-6 (ATCBI-6) Mode 4/5 Modulation and Monitoring (M&M) units.

Raytheon Company, the systems integrator, designer, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), is the only known source for the Modulation and Monitoring (M&M) unit. Raytheon owns the proprietary data rights. The limited data rights to this Raytheon equipment do not allow the Government to provide this data to a third-party commercial source for manufacturing purposes. As Raytheon has unlimited access to the proprietary data necessary to accomplish complete manufacture and operational testing of the M&M units, they were determined to be the single source for this contract.

A Notice of Intent to Single Source (6973GH-23-MS-00012) was posted on the Systems for Award Management (SAM.gov) website on April 10, 2023.

A cost-plus fixed-fee contract has been awarded to Raytheon Company, Marlborough, MA
