Astrophysics Maintenance Support

Background
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is responsible for intercepting and disrupting the flow of contraband at various ports of entry. This contract is aimed at procuring maintenance support services for proprietary Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) equipment, specifically from Astrophysics, Inc., which is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the technology used by CBP.

Work Details
The contract involves the continued maintenance, sustainment, and technical support for Large Scale (LS) and Small Scale (SS) Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) systems, including Radiation Detection Equipment (RDE). The services required include corrective and preventative maintenance for existing Astrophysics security technology equipment deployed at CBP land, sea, air, and rail ports of entry. The justification states that only Astrophysics can provide these services due to their unique capabilities and proprietary access to necessary software and technical data.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various CBP locations within the Continental U.S. (CONUS) and outside of the Continental U.S. (OCONUS).
