Asphalt Repair at Harsha Lake

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this contract for the purpose of repairing and sealing the road and parking lot surfaces at William H Harsha Lake in Batavia, OH. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and usability of these surfaces for public access and maintenance. This procurement is set aside for small businesses, emphasizing the agency's commitment to supporting small business participation in government contracts.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to complete the following tasks:

1. Repair Main Dam Road Surface: Remove 6 inches of failed asphalt (approximately 90 yd²) on the main dam, install 4 inches of base asphalt, and 2 inches of ODOT #448 Type 1 surface. Seal edges with hot tar and provide flagging equipment for traffic control.

2. Option 1 - Asphalt Seal Maintenance Compound & Parking Lot: Clear debris from approximately 10,000 square feet of parking lot, apply two coats of coal tar emulsion sealer mixed with sand (2 lbs per 100 gallons). Provide flagging equipment for traffic control.

3. Option 2 - Crack Fill Slade Road: Fill cracks on approximately 2.36 miles of Slade Road using hot crack filling material after cleaning out vegetation and debris. Provide flagging equipment for traffic control.

4. Option 3 - Crack Fill Tailwater Road: Similar to Option 2 but for approximately 1.32 miles of Tailwater Road. Provide flagging equipment for traffic control.

5. Option 4 - Asphalt Seal Maintenance Tailwater Parking Lot: Clear debris from approximately 17,000 square feet of parking lot and apply two coats of sealer as described in previous options.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will be determined upon contract award but will extend over several months as outlined in the specifications.
