Description

This announcement constitutes a SOURCES SOUGHT for information and planning purposes to identify qualified and experienced sources for an anticipated Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award to provide and deliver Asbestos Abatement for approximately 10,000 SQFT for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC). This sources sought notice does not constitute as a Request for Quote (RFQ) nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to the ultimate decision of the acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for any cost associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) of Norfolk, Virginia is seeking to identify qualified and experienced sources to procure and deliver the below materials:Responses to this Sources Sought shall include the following information in this format:? Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantage, 8(a), HUBZone, Woman-owned and/or Veteran-owned. ? Again, this is not a request for quotation. Respondents will not be notified of the results.
Background
The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) of Norfolk, Virginia is seeking to identify qualified and experienced sources for an anticipated Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award to provide and deliver Asbestos Abatement services for approximately 10,000 square feet. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe removal of hazardous materials from the workspace while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Remove and dispose of existing carpet, cove base, asbestos-containing floor tile, and black tile mastic from approximately 10,000 square feet of mixed cubicle and office spaces in building LF-18.

2. Disassemble and dispose of all furniture cubicles and office furniture (including desks, credenzas, bookcases/shelving).

3. Submit an official Abatement Plan for approval before starting the abatement process.

4. Install new 6-inch black cove base and customer-supplied felt-backed carpet tiles, including providing adhesive for installation.

5. Supply and apply new paint to all walls and trim in the interior spaces (approximately 8,000 square feet), using a latex-based primer and satin latex paint that is off-white for walls, with semi-gloss white paint for trim. The vendor must supply all tools, materials, and consumables necessary for painting completion.

6. Conduct all OSHA-required personal air monitoring, third-party project monitoring, PCM testing, and disposal at an EPA-approved landfill for asbestos abatement.

Period of Performance
Work to be completed prior to December 31st, 2025.
