A. The purpose of Amendment 0001 to this Sources Sought/ Synopsis; is to seek additional information from interested firms that are Certified and in the State of Alaska area that may have an interest in submitting an offer for an Asbestos Abatement (IDIQ) contract to be performed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska and Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska should the Government determine a solicitation is required.

B. Interested certified firms in the State of Alaska area particular with specifically the capabilities of working on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska and Eielson AFB, Alaska.

This Sources sought announcement is to seek information only from interested firms that are certified in the State of Alaska area that may have an interest in submitting an offer for an Asbestos Abatement (IDIQ) contract to be performed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), AK should the Government determine a solicitation is required/ needed. This notice is for planning purposes only and is a market research tool to determine availability, interest and capability of potential qualified 8(a) Small Businesses able to compete for a contract to perform an Asbestos Abatement IDIQ Requirements. The Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this Sources Sought.

This Sources sought announcement is to seek information from interested firms that are certified in the

There is no solicitation at this time. This request for information does not constitute a Request for
Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), or Invitation for Bid (IFB). Submission of any information in
response to this market research is purely voluntary; the Government does not assume financial
responsibility for any costs incurred. All submissions will be considered and treated as public
information. The Government will assess any responses in addition to associated market research to
ascertain potential market capacity; no decision has been made regarding potential FAR Part 19 setasides
at this time. No feedback or evaluation will be provided to interested parties regarding their
response, though the Government reserves the right to contact respondents on a case by case basis
regarding their submission.

Information: The 673d Contracting Squadron is contemplating a construction IDIQ award for hazardous
materials testing and abatement (IDIQ) of materials to include but not limited to asbestos, lead and
mold. Should this become a solicitation the Contractor/ contractors will be required to provide all labor,
materials, equipment, transportation, and tools for an Asbestos Abatement (IDIQ).
This Sources Sought is for gathering information and acquisition strategy planning purposes only and is
not a solicitation. In order to receive an award from any resultant solicitation, should one be issued, the
successful offeror must be registered in the System for Award Management. The SAM website is
https://www.sam.gov.
Should/ if the Government determine this to become a solicitation, any prospective sources may submit
a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation package will be available only
through Electronic Posting System (EPS). Paper copies and paper proposals will not be accepted. If a
solicitation is posted, it will then become the responsibility of the interested parties to review this site
frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Any prospective contractor must be
registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. To be
considered, responsive offerors must register in SAM at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/
