Artificial Intelligence Assisted Procurement Tools (AIAPT)

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to gather insights on capabilities related to Artificial Intelligence Assisted Procurement Tools (AIAPT). This initiative is part of the VA's mission to enhance acquisition and contract lifecycle management functions through advanced technology.

The VA's Office of Acquisition, Logistics, and Construction (OALC) seeks to identify qualified vendors capable of providing a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) generative artificial intelligence solution that meets specific requirements and federal security standards. The RFI aims to inform potential acquisition strategies and does not intend to award a contract at this time.

Work Details
The RFI seeks information on the following areas:

1. Company Information: Identification of interested vendors, socio-economic status, and potential acquisition vehicles.

2. Capability Assessment Against Functional Requirements: Vendors must describe their commercial products and how they meet the stated requirements, including AI system capabilities, data privacy, security compliance, bias prevention, accuracy, reliability, cost considerations, and risk mitigation strategies.

3. Past Experience: Vendors should provide examples demonstrating their experience in implementing solutions for organizations similar in size and complexity to the VA.

4. Submission Instructions: Detailed guidelines on how to format submissions and required documentation.
